Istanbul, Turkey – 1974 – Riding high on their international success, Lezzetli Duman (a fictional band) returns with their most ambitious work yet: "Anatolian Groove", a 14-track instrumental odyssey that fuses Turkish psychedelia, funk, and Eastern mysticism. Still led by Istanbul’s five sonic alchemists—Haluk "Ateş" Demirci (lead guitar, saz), Orhan "Duman" Yılmaz (rhythm guitar, keyboards), Cemal "Gece" Arslan (keyboards, percussion), Mehmet "Kara" Kaya (bass), and Yusuf "Yel" Şahin (drums)—the album pushes boundaries while staying true to their hazy, hashish-laden roots.
